House in the Hill

My friend Vikki lives in a house that is built into the side of a hill. It is hard to get in photographs what that is like. But here are a few to try. Starting at the front of the house, moving up to the right above the garage, climbing up to the roof, the lawn that is the roof of the house, looking down from the lawn over the front door.

Creatures on the Deck

Spring is really here. All our buddies are now coming to eat the goodies we put out for them. Arvin is happy because the crows are now coming regularly. They rarely come on the deck, though I saw one do that today. But they do come to get the peanuts we toss into the alley below our house.

An Interesting Day

This is Meredith Ann Murray at Greenacres Cemetary. Arvin and I met her and Brian Flowers this morning and made our decision to purchase a plot in their green burial ground. We had been thinking awhile about doing this and today we did. We purchased a plot in "The Meadow".

Later in the day we met Susan, one of the folks I have been sharing comments with on Blipfoto.com. She came up from Portland and we had a great day together. We spent some of our time together at Big Rock Garden and walking through Big Rock Park where I took these photos.

Meet Scooter.

Scooter is one of our favorite cats. He's one of two cats that own my brother Dave and his wife Nora. He is around 14 years old and loves affection.
