All's well with the Chaikins of Bellingham's kitties. Fiona is approaching her 17th birthday on November 16th. Duma and Mehitabel are as sweet and goofy as always.

I went to the Seattle Art Museum today to see the Picasso exhibit. It was really wonderful. I traveled down from Bellingham with a Community Education group from Whatcom Community College. Trish Harding was one of the leaders and lots of us painters went along. It was so much fun. I couldn't take pictures of the Picasso exhibit but I could take pictures of other exhibits. I could also goof around with my camera and some of the modern art pieces.

A wonderful collection of African masks and art including the tapestry below made from cans and bottle caps from Ghanna.

I had fun taking photos of reflections and abstracts in a room filled with contemporary art.

Visitors

Three squirrels visited our bird feeder today. Of course we also had our phalanx of Steller's Jays and lbb's (little brown birds). One crow also happened by but the jays wouldn't let him get anywhere near the peanuts.

Fiona Then and Now

The first three photographs of Fiona were taken by Don Anderson when Fio was one and a half. The bottom one I took this morning. She'll be 17 on November 16th. She is still a beautiful cat!
